The 2nd batch of water associations gathered at AIDFI for the Agos Water Associations Summit Visayas sites with the theme "Cultivating Communities." During the summit, participants engaged in various workshops and discussions aimed at improving water management practices and fostering community development. Through collaborative efforts and shared experiences, the water associations were able to enhance their knowledge and skills in providing sustainable water solutions for their respective communities. The summit served as a platform for networking and building relationships among different water associations, ultimately strengthening their collective impact on cultivating thriving and resilient communities.
The 2nd batch summit was held on November 12-14. It focused like the 1st batch on the organizational, technical, and financial aspects of the projects. The three-day workshop culminated with the presentation of a new monitoring system and mobile application that would enhance proactive monitoring between AIDFI and the water associations. The water associations then committed themselves to the sustainability, environment protection, empowerment, and socio-economic contribution to their respective communities.
The summit ended with a fellowship with enlightened water associations determined to cultivating their communities further. The Agos Water Associations Summit is funded by the Coca-Cola Foundation Philippines, Inc. (CCFPI) and will gather 90 water associations from the Visayas region until May 2025. The aim is to share experiences and learnings that enhances collaboration and partnerships, and the launching of a new proactive monitoring system with mobile application.
