Welcome to the exciting world of community empowerment through water stewardship with the Agos Water Association’s Summit! The journey of cultivating communities is about to reach new heights as AIDFI gears up for an all-encompassing summit that promises innovation, collaboration, and sustainability like never before.
Since 2012, AIDFI has been diligently working on 180 projects as part of the water stewardship program for the Coca-Cola Foundation Philippines, Inc. Through an all-encompassing approach, AIDFI ensures not just the installation of water systems but also the social preparation of community beneficiaries who ultimately take ownership of these systems. The establishment of water associations and training of officers form the backbone of this sustainable initiative.
But the journey doesn't end there. AIDFI's commitment to ongoing monitoring and innovation sets a new standard in community development. From mechanical water kiosks to a cutting-edge monitoring app, the focus is not just on providing water but on establishing empowerment and sustainability within communities, ensuring a lasting impact.
The much-anticipated water association summit was initially planned for 2019 but was postponed due to unforeseen circumstances. However, the wait is over, and in 2024, the summit is back on track! This summit serves as a melting pot of ideas, a place to share innovations, and a platform for mutual learning and growth. A collaborative space where each participant, each association, contributes valuable insights and experiences towards a shared goal of sustainability.
Over the next 6 months, AIDFI will host a series of 9 summits at its newly renovated learning center. Around 90 water associations will come together, with 3 participants from each association immersing themselves in a 3-day summit that promises to be both enlightening and enriching. The highlight of each summit will be the launch of AIDFI's state-of-the-art monitoring app, a tool that will revolutionize how these associations track and manage their water systems moving forward tackling their organizational, financial, and technical matters.
